Took me a bit to get to this… sorry about that.

Anyway, I can’t say I’ve ever been to a high school, uni, or whatever reunion of any type… and I imagine it wouldn’t be as exciting as this. In reality it’d probably involve just lots of awkward standing around, nodding your head to some random person you haven’t spoken to in forever (and can’t get away from). And you haven’t corresponded with this person for a reason, cause apparently the dude is WACK-O.

And what’s with this whole looking back on the past thing… reliving past glories or whatever. Bullploppy. I was a nerd then and am probably a bigger one now. So suck it.

Hope everyone had a good Newish Years. Hopefully have another comic come sometime soon… but again, no promises. I am a heart breaker.

You look lovely, time has been very good to you. I’ve missed you, hanging out like this, just talking about whatever. That’s all that was ever important, just being together, not what we were actually saying or doing… but just the being together. It’s been so long… *long pause*

Why did you stop calling me?

Anyways, for those of you who know what I’m talking about… I have been absent from the internet for about 2 months or so.

Thanks to those who have been patient. Well, now I am on holidays from school and will have some time to make some comicies… so when I have a chance to put them up I hope you will enjoy them.

Thanks again for checking back and being patient. I would love to be doing this every week like I could when I didn’t have a job… but you know, the whole school thing and not working and no money thing… kind of make that a bit hard.

A big virtual “high-five” to everyone

Salutations everyone…

And first off, I have to apologize for my lack of updates in the last while. It was unintentional, but it happened… and I am a terrible person.

Pretty much the deal is that I am back in school now, full time and everything, and the initial month of it really gave me a swift kick in the seat o’ the pants. My time has dwindled drastically.

I plan to update the comic as much as I can, but as could be witnessed the past few weeks, I can’t guarantee when that will be. But please check back now and then and I promise I will make it worth your while.

If I could bake cookies and mail one to each of you, with a frowny face that says “I’m sorry”, I would seriously maybe do that. You guys rule.

Thanks again for being patient… and those who aren’t… I am actually doing my “angry how dare you” face. It is very scary.

Funny story…

Drawing crappily, drunk, and with your left hand is just as hard as drawing normally for me. Who knew?

Question: What is hilarious?
Answer: Reading the unreasonable and ludicrous Marriage Proposal Ideas on this site.

According to this webiste, people are disappointed by being asked by the “man/woman of their life” to get married. Therefore, since with today’s ADD and MTV and POP Music and Bing Bang Kaboom Movies we all have unreasonable expectations for excitment.

Please don’t think that I’m not a romantic at heart… but when you read these, the notion that some people submit their loved ones to these proposals, is scary.

What happens if the marriage proposal doesn’t meet your/their high and discriminating standards? Is it the ol’ “thumbs down and get out of here clown”?

“If I don’t get proposed to in a weather balloon hundreds of feet above the ground by a guy in a knight costume and a violin playing monkey, then it’s not love!”

Check out:

#1 is obvious, but hilarious to still believe that some people may do that.

#4 submits a poor defenseless puppy to the mess you’ve created

and #34 is just weird. Especially if she/he says “no”, cause then you have a talking parrot who will not stop proposing to you.

Hey all,

I guess this post is late, even though my update schedule is largely made up. But in my head it was late, and it was a constant disappointment and reminder of my inadequacies that it kept me up late at night, kept me from eating and socializing, and caused a whole lot of crying.

Also, today’s comic is kind of reminiscent of how I feel lately. As of the mid-of-August I am going to school again, and am in the midst of filling out loads of useless forms that I don’t understand that just end up infuriating me endlessly. I am quite annoyed that somehow in our society all of the public services, and government related buildings which obviously are supposed to serve the public make it extremely difficult to get a living person, in person. I was actually told by one woman at a government supported loan office, that there is no human contact here and that I had to go down the hallway to the phones to call her inside the office that I was just outside of. Sweetness!

Everytime I call some office and hear that sweet automated voice followed by a beep, I just want to find the automated machine robot creature (or whatever it is), seduce it, and then punch it in the face (cause seducing first and then tricking them is the worst kind of trickery).

Hope everyone’s having a good week!

Hey all, how are you doing?

Really? Fan-tastic!

So I’m going to the Winnipeg Folk Fest this weekend. Next week’s comic might be a little late because of that (although I don’t really have a schedule anyways). I’m not the hugest folk fan but there should be some good indie, alt-folk acts there. Besides the “cool-bands”, I’m excited to see Fred Penner (who’s known in Canada for crazy kid’s songs) and Randy Newman just for the kind of kitschy, car wreck enjoyment. I want to see Randy Newman so I can just yell stuff at him on stage about the Toy Story, and Toy Story 2 theme’s being kind of like standing behind an ornery mule and being kicked like 100 times in the crotch… for two or three days. Family Guy has me beat there though… I can never insult the man that bad.

Ok, today’s comic. Anyone play the game Deer Hunter? That game inspired the comic… and it is also akin to being kicked 100 times in the crotch, but this time by a deer with a Die Hard style vengeance on his/her mind.

Anyways, I should have some new and different stuff coming up eventually… whenever the hell that will be I’m not sure.

*end communication*

Online communities like myspace, friendster, and facebook kind of annoy me. I realize that many people like these sites, and I’m not attempting to ostracize them (especially since I’m a member of some of these), but I am just very lazy in keeping contact with tons of the people I met through school and my travels and stuff.

It’s hard enough with just email, especially if you have to switch accounts and do the ever annoying “Hey everyone, here’s an address change… let’s stay in touch.” Which really makes me weigh their friendship (because that’s what I do constantly because I’m a jerk) and see if it’s worth the effort of raising my lazy meatpaws to put the new address in. If it’s not worth it, my answer to that email would be “well I guess this person won’t be getting my hilarious forwards about guy and girl jokes, blonde jokes, relationship jokes, and chain letters that you have to send otherwise you are cursed for all eternity.”

But with one of these “new and fantastic ways” to communicate and stay in touch, it’s one more username and password I have to remember, and so many people I have to reintroduce myself to. “Remember me? I sat awkwardly behind you in our English class and said nothing to you… remember that?”

or “I’m the one who used to wear the Hypercolor shirt and then realize half-way through class that puberty, plus increasing hormones, plus color changing shirt based on moisture was a bad idea.”

Ok, enjoy!

Ah Mr. Peter Gabriel, you are perfect for bringing people together. One love, unity, togetherness, digging in the dirt, and sledgehammers… all important lessons that you can learn from Mr. Peter Gabriel.

I pondered doing a Say Anything moment, with a Lloyd Dobler-type character holding a stereo above his head begging for forgiveness, then his lover looks out the window, they share a moment, run into each others arms, smothering each other with forgiveness kisses.

Then the other person turns into a giant praying mantis and chops the other in half, which never really happened in the movie but would still be cool.
Anyways…
Enjoy.

How have you been? Really? That’s fantastic! 50 times eh? And the neighbor was watching too?

Ok back to the comic-talk. So neighbors. Have I ever had interesting / crazy neighbors before? Yes I have, thanks for asking.

One time I had this tiny shitty apartment, and my neighbor was being purused by police who were like knocking on his door and yelling for him. Apparently he escaped.

The cops asked me if I heard anything, and I was very embarrassed to admit that I heard nothing. Because, I spent the entire evening playing a video game very loudly and missed the most exciting thing to happen in my apartment.

Ahhhh, stories. God bless ‘em.
