Two Dudes On A Roof - Breaking Up
Monday, June 18th, 2007Ah Mr. Peter Gabriel, you are perfect for bringing people together. One love, unity, togetherness, digging in the dirt, and sledgehammers… all important lessons that you can learn from Mr. Peter Gabriel.
I pondered doing a Say Anything moment, with a Lloyd Dobler-type character holding a stereo above his head begging for forgiveness, then his lover looks out the window, they share a moment, run into each others arms, smothering each other with forgiveness kisses.
Then the other person turns into a giant praying mantis and chops the other in half, which never really happened in the movie but would still be cool.
Anyways…
Enjoy.

I’m guessing you’ve never been banned from a zoo for something that Petey had told you to do.

being banned for wal-mart for saying his voice was too loud in my head for me to here them shouting that screaming profanities in english or even french-accent english was not allowed in the store, was what made me lose the copied key of an ex, which saved me from being arrested. suppose that counts as a lesson?

I was studying in Budapest for a semester, and did Sledgehammer for karaoke. Some random Hungarian woman came to talk to me afterwards. I got a friend to translate for me. Apparently, she wanted to offer me a job as a karaoke DJ. Mr. Peter Gabriel got me a job offer. I appreciated it.

Long distance relationships are hard. There’s no two ways about it.

I practice my sledgehammer every day.
…does anyone know a good dry cleaner?

Sledgehammer is a much harder song for Karaoke than I first thought.
It’s difficult to carry the song without all the tricked out stop-motion animation. And much more difficult considering how wacky the real Karaoke videos usually are… considering they have nothing to do with the song.
I was singing a Clash song once and the video had a happy couple riding on a horse together.
